Happy Birthday
Written by Robert Pottle
From the other poetry web site that I manage, I know that people are looking for birthday poems. I figure that some of those people are scrapbookers or card makers.

This poem should work for both groups of people. It's a liitle more specific than some of the other poems on this site because it is about a child turning eight. Over time I'll post poems for other ages here.

I can image some great pictures to go with this poem. If your kids behave like mine at birthday parties, I know you have those types of pictures.

Happy Birthday

Chocolate ice cream up my nose.
Frosting ear to ear.
Feeding candles to the cat.
Party time is here.

Funny hats on all the pets.
Soda on the floor.
Although I'm turning eight today,
I'm acting like I'm four.
