This page came out of my desire to create a simplified tree that looked like a lollipop. I painted the pre-gessoed page orange and let it dry. I cut a large circle from green patterned paper. I painted a straight, brown trunk on the page, and then added the paper circle on top. With black paint and a paintbrush, I wrote my statement. I added a border to the page and the paper circle. Then I scattered some little x’s all around the page with my Micron pen.
